Top Ten Tuesday: Bingeworthy TV Shows

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. The topics are scheduled in advance which you can check out here.

Today’s topic is: Bingeworthy TV Shows

Though I usually prefer to stick to bookish topics, I’m definitely still making time to binge watch TV between my book reading and a lot of my reading preferences overlap with the TV show genres I like to read so it’s fun to discuss!

CURRENT:

  1. Supernatural – forever and ever and ever ❤ 
  2. Future Man – my new favorite show and I CANNOT wait for season 2
  3. Riverdale – season 2 was a bit annoying but I’ll stick around for Jughead
  4. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia – somehow this one just doesn’t get old
  5. Stranger Things – I don’t want to waittttttttt
  6. Game of Thrones – ugh I have such a love/hate relationship with this show 
  7. Bob’s Burgers – so binge-able!
  8. Charmed reboot – I’m still working my way through the original series but with new tech and diverse characters I’m curious to see if this new Charmed is going to be a winner 

OLDIES:

  1. Charmed – love being back in the 90s and early 2000s, plus so much girl power!
  2. The X-Files – whyyyy did I wait so long to start this series?!

Anyone else love these shows?!

    • I only ever watched random episodes back when it was on, so I’m loving watching it for the first time right now. Also nervous for the reboot though, I was really surprised when I heard they were doing it

  6. Your list is like my TBR of shows lol. The ones I hear terrific things on, but haven’t found myself binging quite yet! Except for Game of Thrones, that I was with since episode 1. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the love/hate scenario there because that show IMO leads to excellent convos.

    • Omg game of thrones really does need to some intense conversations! Love/hate because it’s amazinggg but I read all the books and the show is now surpassing the books, spoiling the plot, go way off plot, etc and it’s like I want to keep reading and watching but I’d rather read the books first and for the “true” story but the dude just can’t get them out fast enough. it sucks

  8. Supernatural and the original Charmed! I was going to give the reboot a chance but after the trailer I just Can’t.

    I’d recommend Buffy the Vampire Slayer to everyone. I’d also recommend Shadowhunters and Grimm since you seem to like shows with Supernatural elements.

    • I started watching Buffy and then I think it left netflix?? I gotta track it down again. I tried watching Shadowhunters since I love the books but after the first or second episode I just couldn’t with the acting. I don’t know if I’ve heard of Grimm though..

      • Really? I loved the first episode of Shadowhunters. I love how much Malec we have in the show considering that we got only 1 or 2 scenes in the movie.

        Grimm is crime/ fantasy show. it should be on netflix.
