Hiii frienzz!! My birthday was on the good ole’ 4th of July and as always my husband just asks me what books I want since he’s not a very creative gift giver. But that’s okay because BOOKS 🙂 I decided to ask for a tried and true favorite series and a new series I’ve been pumped about reading. My dad also sent me a book he recommended! Yay books for birthdays!

My dad sent me The Happiness Advantage by Shawn Achor.  I’d never heard of this book before but he was reading it and said it was one of the best books he’d ever read. Technically he sent this to me and my three siblings because he wants us all to read it, but it arrived around my birthday so I still count it.  It looks really good as far as nonfiction goes and I’m excited to read it and talk about it with my family.

Then, we have what is probably my favorite series of all time that I want to read over and over and over and never stop except for the fact that my TBR would be very unhappy about that.  I’m so excited to finally add A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas to my physical bookshelves, they just didn’t feel complete without them.

And finally, The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater! I have seen this series pop up for so long and was always back and forth about if I should pick it up or not. I tried years ago to read Steifvater’s book Shiver and I think I was turned off by the wolfy parallels to Twilight.  Also if truth be told the summary book description for The Raven Boys didn’t really appeal to me. However, my blogger friends (you know who you are!) convinced by via their obsession that this was going to be a series I’d love. I’ve already read the first book and GUYYYSSS! WHATTTT!! I AM SO HAPPY ABOUT ITTT! This series is nothing like what I imagined and the description literally did it NO justice.
